With more than 166’000 visitors from over 146 nations and 4’680 exhibitors from 80 different countries, new peak figures were reached. The percentage of international visitors increased by about 50% and visiting groups from Eastern Europe and Latin America were recorded. The Automechanika is today well established and highly recognized worldwide. Many of the Automechanika exhibitors judge the increase of the international visitors with a positive aspect. The three top visiting European countries, excluding Germany, were Great Britain, Italy and Poland followed by the overseas nations USA, China and Brazil.

It was imperative for sia Abrasives to participate in the Automechanika again this year. sia Abrasives, together with Sika Industry and part Gmbh, was represented with a combined booth at the exhibition and recorded visitors from more than 44 different nations. The highlights of our 100m2 booth were clearly discernible: Our visitors were most impressed by our halved BMW X3 car body, the black and white striped racing carpet, as well as by the high definition world of images. We presented our new innovations siaspeed siasoft, siavlies speed, relaunch siacar, the siacarat velvet grit expansion and the future siacarat „family members“. Much interest was shown by end-users, distributors and wholesalers.

The fair presented many novelties which greatly increased the variety of products in the field of automotive and composites. The grinding systems have been optimized and complemented with innovated products. For us to present ourselves worldwide, the Automechanika is definitely the best fair. We’re looking at a week of many interesting discussions with technical representatives and have established many new contacts.
