New shareholder of sia Abrasives Holding AG (02/04/2008)
The Board of sia Abrasives Holding AG, Frauenfeld, has learned that entrepreneur Giorgio Behr has acquired a stake of about 22% in sia Abrasives in his capacity as private investor and through his Behr Bircher Cellpack BBC Group, which operates in various industrial sectors. 5% of this shareholding is registered as carrying voting rights under the company’s Articles of Association. Towards sia Abrasives, Giorgio Behr has indicated interest in a long-term commitment in the sia Group and in promoting Switzerland as a location.
sia Abrasives generally welcomes investors who promote Switzerland as a location and support the sia Group as an independent company on the strength of its strategic focus and its capability to sustainably add value. The Board of sia Abrasives will conduct in-depth talks with Giorgio Behr in this regard.
