Stephan Keller, Swiss (born 1969), Chief Executive Officer of sia Abrasives since April 1, 2011. Stephan Keller is a 1995 ETH Zurich graduate and holds a master degree in mechanical engineering. In 1995 he started his career in the Bosch Group by joining Scintilla AG in Solothurn (Switzerland) as a project leader. After holding several managerial positions in Leinfelden (Germany) he acted as Vice President Engineering Asia Pacific for Bosch Power Tools in China from 2006 until 2009. Before his nomination for CEO of sia Abrasives, Stephan Keller was holding the position of a Vice President Corporate Research, leading one of the six corporate research centers of Bosch in Stuttgart.
Donat Frei, Swiss (born 1954), Chief Operations Officer since 2002 and simultaneously responsible for the sia Abrasives research and development. He also serves as the management representative for quality, environment and occupational health and safety. Donat Frei graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in 1976 with a degree in chemistry (process engineering). Since joining the sia Abrasives in 1977, he has held several positions within the organisation, first as development manager for ART/wood/panel applications, then transferring to the marketing department as head of product management and application engineering. In 1996, he was appointed responsible for the research and development department, additionally assuming responsibility for the jumbo roll manufacturing department in 1999. During 2001, he served as General Manager of sia Abrasives Industries AG.
Michael Gänzler, German (born 1963), Chief Marketing Officer of sia Abrasives since October 1, 2011. As a member of the executive committee he is heading our application areas with all product lines of abrasives. In 1990, Michael Gänzler obtained a degree in industrial engineering at the TU Darmstadt, and directly started his career as a Product Manager at Bosch Power Tools. During the last years he held different executive positions in Sales and Marketing within Bosch and Bosch Rexroth. Right before joining sia Abrasives, Michael Gänzler was leading the service unit Factory Automation of Bosch Rexroth as a Vice President.
Georg Vock, Swiss (born 1964), Chief Sales and Logistics Officer of the sia Abrasives since 1 January 2007. He joined sia Abrasives as a business apprentice in 1980, later performing various functions within the sia Abrasives in Switzerland and abroad. He completed his in-service training as a certified sales coordinator in 1987 and qualified as a certified sales manager in 1996. In 1989, Georg Vock moved on to manage Trio Personal for four and a half years. Rejoining the sia Abrasives in 1993, he was in charge of the South American market, laying the foundation for the sia Abrasives companies in Brazil and Mexico. He assumed responsibility for worldwide sales in 1997 and additionally for all marketing application areas in 1998.
Mario Zirn, German (born 1972), Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of sia Abrasives since January 3, 2011. Mario Zirn holds an MBA from the University of Reutlingen (D). He started his career with Bosch as a Controller in Reutlingen before he was sent to the business unit Automotive Electronics in Spain. Back in Reutlingen, Mario Zirn was in charge for the introduction of SAP R/3 and the Bosch Production System (BPS). From 2007 until 2009 he was assigned overall responsibility for the Supply Chain Management of Bosch in Ravensburg (D) and Slovenia. Before his change to sia Abrasives, Mario Zirn was Head of Logistics of Product Area 1 for Scintilla AG in Solothurn (CH).
