Schifferle, Swiss (born 1944), Chairman of the Thurgau Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 1995. He is also Chairman of Procom Holding AG in Romanshorn and serves as a Director of Benninger AG in Uzwil and Lista AG in Erlen. After obtaining the federal graduation diploma in commerce in 1963, Peter A. Schifferle went on to study business administration. From 1970 to 1987, he worked for the HIAG Group, ultimately as a member of Group Management. In 1988, he moved to Lista AG, chairing the Executive Committee of the parent company, heading the Workplace Equipment and Storage Systems business unit and serving on the Lista Group Management Committee until 1991. Peter A. Schifferle was CEO of the sia Group from 1991 to 2006 and Executive Director from 1997 to 2006. After retiring from operational responsibility and as an Executive Director on 31 December 2006, he took over as Chairman of sia Abrasives Holding AG at the beginning of May following the Annual General Meeting on 24 April 2007. In 2002, he won the Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Hans-Ulrich Spiess, Swiss (born 1946), Chairman, CEO and majority shareholder of H.U.S.-Technology AG, a company engaged in technology transfer, and Chairman of Global Telemed Systems AG, an international company. He is also active in other Swiss and foreign companies, serving as Chairman of several. Hans-Ulrich Spiess graduated in cybernetics and information technology at Reading University in England; he also holds a University of Applied Sciences degree in electronics (Constance, Germany) and has a mechanical engineering background. After completing his studies, he held various management positions in the Nueva Group from 1973 to 1997, ultimately serving as CEO (from 1993).
Dr. Martin Bernet, Swiss (born 1954), a lawyer practising international commercial law with the law firm of Schellenberg Wittmer since 1985, of which he has been a partner since 1989. After studying law in Zurich and receiving his degree in 1979, Martin Bernet was admitted to the bar of Zurich in 1982. In 1986, he earned a doctorate in law from the University of Zurich. Having started his career at Horgen District Court, he went on to work for law firms in Zurich and Washington, D.C. before joining Schellenberg Wittmer.
Ernst Kessler, Swiss (born 1941), Deputy Chairman of Spital Thurgau AG and a Director and co-owner of Asatona AG in Zug. He studied business administration at the University of Zurich, graduating with a degree in 1969. Ernst Kessler started his career with Georg Fischer AG and Ciba-Geigy AG, later serving as finance director of Cilag AG in Schaffhausen and Zug. From 1988 to 2001, he held the position of CFO with Saurer AG in Arbon. Between 1989 and 2002, he served on the Board of the Thurgau Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he currently heads the coaching team providing support to SMEs.
Jürgen Rauen, German (born 1947), CEO of Veolia Umweltservice GmbH since January 2000. In addition, he is a commercial judge at Bielefeld District Court and serves on the foreign trade committee of the Bielefeld Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is also a Supervisory Board member of DORMA KGaA in Ennepetal. After completing a business apprenticeship with Farbwerke Hoechst AG in Frankfurt, Jürgen Rauen studied marketing and business administration. Having held executive marketing and sales positions with various international companies, he ran Ernstmeier GmbH in Herford as General Manager between 1982 and 1999. |
